Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
[red]Addendum; take notice that the description below has been changed from the one in our printed catalogue version.[/red] Intriguing and mysterious to hobbyists are "anonymous" cards from the 1920s which very seldom show up on our doorstep. Our consignor informs of research pointing to the 1925-26 season for this group of eight. Montreal Canadiens 5-Paulhus, 7-Victor Larochelle and 14-Holmes lead numerically, with 22-H. Smith (Ottawa), 32-Cooper (Boston) and Maroons 62-G. Munro, 91-Dutch Cain and 96-Reg Noble also present. The cards, with two different tints to note, size-up properly and average from VG to VG-EX. An offer for a team photo in exchange for a compete team set is on the card backs. Scarcities to add to a big-time vintage card shrine.
