Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014

We suppose one could have gotten chubby enjoying chocolate-coated-with-a-chewy-nut-centre Paulin's Hockey Bars while attempting to assemble a set of 70 cards issued by the candy company. This card of Norm "Chubby" Scott miraculously survived in exquisite EX-MT 6 condition, with no chocolate stains(!). PSA numbers reveal that this Pop-1 is the nicest Scott Paulin's card ever submitted for encapsulation, with half a dozen others similarly stamped on the back including an EX 5 and two 4.5s tops among the eight unredeemed Scott cards. A succulent addition to your pre-war card shrine! Although the Paulin’s cards have always been catalogued as a 1923-24 issue, extensive research by hobby veteran and author Bobby Burrell actually points to a two-year promotion beginning a year later, thus giving a 1924-26 time frame for the cards which feature men who played for teams in the Western Canadian Hockey League
