Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
After more than a decade with the Vancouver Millionaires and Maroons, d-man Lloyd Cook made but a brief splash in the NHL (four games and one goal with Boston in 1924-25), but this Maple Crispette rookie card of him, (erroneously labeled “Bill” Cook), made quite a splash at PSA. There have only been seven Maple Crispette cards total, (all players combined – 445 cards as of press time), to receive higher recognition than this formidable EX-MT+ 6.5 prize. It should be noted that the PSA Population Report does reveal that one Cook card is housed in a NM 7(Q) holder. Cook contributed to the Millionaires’ Stanley Cup championship way back in 1914-15 and is now ready to contribute to a champion collection!
