Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014

The 2002 NHL All-Star Game, held at the Staples Centre in L.A., pitted North American players against a World team, with World topping the North Americans 8-5. This was the final year of this sort of format, but we’ve got a gorgeous World jersey signed by 22 players to keep the memories alive. Tagged in the collar as a size 22, this great garment (not game-used) has the “CCM/NHL” tag also in the collar and features the “LA 2002 NHL All-Star Game” patch sewn on the right breast, the large and beautiful silver embroidered NHL crest, and the front of the jersey is smothered in players’ sigs signed with clear and bold white marker. Among those penning their names are Jaromir Jagr, Tomas Kaberle, Sami Kapanen (who would win the “fastest skater” competition), Nikolai Khabibulin (winning goaltender), Sergei Fedorov (hardest shot), Espen Knutsen, Nicklas Lidstrom, Jaroslav Modry, Alex Zhamnov, Alexei Zhitnik, and a host of others. How stunning this would look displayed.
