Some serious HOFers have signed the cover of this Maple Leafs Gardens program from December 13, 1967 when the new expansion team Pittsburgh Penguins paid a visit. From the 14 names, all clearly signed and perfectly legible, are 8 HOFers including Tim Horton (ind. 1977, dec. 1974), Punch Imlach (ind. 1984, dec. 1987), George Armstrong (ind. 1975), Johnny Bower (ind. 1976), Pierre Pilote (ind. 1975), Dave Keon (ind. 1986), Norm Ullman (ind. 1982), and Marcel Pronovost (ind. 1978). Also signing are Paul Henderson, Mike Walton, Murray Oliver, Mike Pelyk, and Leaf trainers Joe Sgro and Tommy Naylor. Imlach has signed in dark black marker and Armstrong in blue ballpoint pen while the others are in clear brownish ink. The 72-page program, intact and unmarked, with only some small separation and wear on the spine to note. Just an awesome Leafs artifact, from the team who had hoisted the Stanley Cup just one year prior.
