Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
Just not enough room to list all of Lionel "The Big Train" Conacher's accomplishments, but we can say this – he was voted Canada's top athlete of the first half of the 20th century, was inducted into the Hockey HOF in 1994, Canada's Sports HOF in 1955, the CFL HOF in 1964, the Canadian Lacrosse HOF in 1965, was a 2-time Stanley Cup winner, a Memorial Cup winner, a Grey Cup champ, won wrestling, boxing, and baseball championships, and was a Member of Parliament. Whew! Offered is this amazing man's autograph, signed in clear pencil on 3" x 5" plain cut in pristine condition that has been fixed to a slightly large paper (but not glued), and dated as Nov. 11, 1937. Truly a rare and wonderful treasure from definitely one of a kind.
