The Montreal Canadiens and Calgary Flames went head to head in the 1986 Stanley Cup Finals, with the Habs winning it all in five games to collect their 23rd championship trophy. We’ve got a Flames program from the series, one that encompasses the first two games held on May 16 and May 18, with Calgary coming out on top in game one with a 5-2 score, while in the second game of the series in Calgary, Montreal’s Brian Skrudland won it just nine seconds into overtime. This 96-page Flames program is fully intact with no marks or tears, and shows just the slightest bit of handling. We also have a “Les Canadiens” magazine with the inside program supplement for the May 22nd game in Montreal which saw the Habs shutout the Flames 1-0. This 82-page magazine/program is complete and intact, with no marks or tears and just a hint of handling evident. Great programs from a fascinating series and we're not done yet. The Flames and Habs met once again in the 1989 Stanley Cup Finals, and offered are two programs from the series including a Flames 96-page program sold at the beginning of the series and lists the two teams stats up to May 14th, which is the date of game one of the series. This program is complete, intact, and unmarked and is in terrific shape with a tiny and almost invisible corner crease on the back cover. Also from the great series is a Les Canadiens magazine (Skrudland cover), with enclosed lineup section for the May 21, 1989 game which saw the Flames win 4-2. This program is also in sensational unmarked condition. And we're still not finished. From 1993 when the Canadiens and L.A. Kings met in the finals we have a Les Canadiens magazine (Muller cover) with the added lineup insert for game one on June 1 when the Kings won 4-1. This mag is in wonderful condition which shows very light handling, and Habs coach Jacques Demers has signed the lineup insert in blue ballpoint pen as "To a special fan from Detroit, Jacques Demers". Included with this mag is a June 11th Montreal Gazette special-edition newspaper when the Habs won it all (with folds). And from game four at the Great Western Forum in L.A. on June 7th we have a Kings program, complete and unmarked with only some minor denting in one corner to note. Game four saw the Habs win 3-2 in overtime.
