Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
The Canadiens would win the Stanley Cup in the spring of 1966 led by the prowess of Jean Beliveau, J.C. Tremblay, Bobby Rousseau, and Ralph Backstrom (who graces the cover of this program), but it was little Roger Crozier in nets for Detroit who would be awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP for his amazing acrobatic feats during this big Habs-Wings final. We have a Forum program from this thoroughly entertaining series, with this being from game 5 on May 3rd, 1966, a game that saw the Habs win 5-1 and find themselves just one win away from drinking from the mug for their second straight year. This Forum program, measuring 8” x 11”, has a faint fold crease running from top to bottom and a few small ink-like marks on several pages inside, but otherwise is fully intact, shows no tears, and is a fine keepsake from a memorable series.
