Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014

Nice Penguins gamer from forward/defenceman Phil Bourque, who donned this jersey in his rookie season in Pittsburgh, the 1986-87 campaign. Tagged in the collar with Cooper, CAHA, and (size) XL flaps, this Bourque rookie jersey has a screened-on Penguins crest on the front, and "Century Sports" and "Cooper" embroidered on the hem. The collar has a tear in it, game marks are scattered about the front and on both sleeves, and board burns and paint transfer are noticeable on the sleeves as well. Bourque's name is screened on the sewn-on nameplate, and we see evidence of a former nameplate with threads showing on the interior of the jersey and along the top of the nameplate. A cool gamer from the fellow's first season in the bigs.
