Maxime Talbot was certainly a key guy in 2003-04 as he tallied a terrific 25 goals and 73 assists in leading his QMJHL Gatineau Olympics to first-place overall and helping capture the team's second President's Cup after besting all playoff scorers with 27 points in 15 games. For his efforts, Talbot was awarded the esteemed Guy Lafleur Trophy, awarded annually to the MVP in the Quebec League. Offered is an identical trophy to the one Maxime would have received, standing 13 1/4" high and consisting of 3 hockey sticks and flame on a 2 1/2" wooden base, with a plaque on one side reading "2003-2004 Ligue De Hockey Junior Majeur Du Quebec – Maxime Talbot", while the other reads "Prix D'Excellence Guy Lafleur". This trophy has remained in wonderful condition, although the flame at the top has become detached.
