Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014

Before sticking with the big club, tough guy Marty McSorley suited up with the Oilers' farm team in Nova Scotia for a total of 16 games over the course of two AHL seasons from 1985-87. He racked up 82 minutes in penalties to go with his 10 points during his time on the east coast. This is McSorley's game-worn road blue Nike jersey from that period and, judging by the wear, young Marty was letting his knuckles do most of the talking. McSorley wore #18 with the team and his jersey is littered with stick marks, board burns and two team repairs on the sleeves. It features a Nike mesh heat-sealed name bar reading "McSorley". White Nike XL size tag in the neck and two "Moosehead Oilers" patches on the shoulders. As a bonus, McSorley has nicely autographed the front crest with the signature rating an 8 out of 10. Wow!
