Willy Lindstrom was wearing this white mesh Edmonton Oilers jersey when he got to drink from the Stanley Cup for the first time in 1984. Willy's home jersey with a Nike "size L" tag in the neck has been style matched to the uniforms worn by the Oilers in photos of the Stanley Cup final rematch against the New York Islanders. The Swedish right winger had already won three Avco World Cup WHA championships with Winnipeg when he first sipped champagne in Edmonton. Lindstrom would add his second Stanley Cup the following year when the Oilers defended their title. Extensive team repairs around the cuffs of both sleeves and an unrepaired gash on the top seam of the right elbow gusset offer great testimony to this fantastic Oilers championship gamer's use. Stick marks on the front hem seal the deal. Lindstrom's surname in blue twill letters is elaborately stitched onto a white mesh nameplate. Willy Lindstrom's signed letter of authenticity will accompany this historic jersey, a direct participant in the Edmonton Oilers' first Stanley Cup championship.
