What an awesome Montreal Forum program from the 1929-30 season this is, featuring a game between the visiting Ottawa Senators with the likes of Finnigan, Clancy, and Connell in the lineup, in tough against the hometown Habs featuring Morenz, Joliat, Hainsworth et al. This 48-page program, which measures 6” x 8 ¾”, remains in sensational condition with all pages intact, and with only a corner crease on the cover, an extremely faint fold crease which is nearly invisible, and a handwritten “6” beside Touhey’s name on the Sens lineup on page 21. This Habs-Sens game was played on Saturday, Dec. 14, 1929, a game which saw Montreal’s Pit Lepine score four goals and assist on another, all in one period, as the Habs beat Ottawa 6-4. The 1929-30 season would also see the Canadiens hoist the Stanley Cup by sweeping the Bruins in a two-game series. Truly a fine vintage program in outstanding condition.
