The autographs of deceased HOFers Jacques Plante, Maurice “Rocket” Richard, Doug Harvey, Tom Johnson and Toe Blake are featured in this 1956-57 Montreal Canadiens team-signed Detroit Olympia program. Fellow HOFers Jean Beliveau, Henri Richard and Dickie Moore are also among the 11 autographs here from the midst of the Habs’ great Stanley Cup dynasty that won a record five consecutive Stanley Cups from 1956-60. Nine autographs are grouped on the back cover while Blake and Maurice Richard cuts are glued and taped onto page 22 of this Red Wing Hockey Magazine program from Montreal’s 3-3 tie against Detroit at the Olympia on Sunday, February 3, 1957. Blake signed in blue ballpoint on a 1” x 2 1/2" cut on lined paper glued onto the page; Richard’s big black ink signature is on a 1 1/2" x 4 1/4" cut of blank white paper taped on both the top and bottom edge. Plante and Harvey have signed in bold blue ballpoint on the back cover, while Johnson, Beliveau, Henri Richard and Moore have signed in pencil along with Dollard St-Laurent and Bud MacPherson. A ticket stub from the game, with “Sun Feb. 3” printed in red over “Tues. Eve. Feb. 19” in black, is stapled onto the cover, which has the result of the game handwritten on the bottom right. Complete game program has pencil notations on both teams’ rosters in the centerfold, and blue ballpoint check marks on the Montreal roster on the following two pages.
