Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
Super nice condition is this 1960s Chicago Black Hawks team jacket that was originally obtained from the family of goaltender Denis DeJordy, a fellow who helped mind the nets for the Hawks from 1962 to 1970. Tagged on the inside of the jacket with a "Gunzo's Sports Center" patch and a tag inside a pocket showing it as cotton-made, size "40", this snap button affair with the vintage Hawks crest on the front and logos on each arm has no damage to the wool collar, sleeves, and hem with only some pilling to mention, and the jacket overall has been tremendously well-preserved with no holes or stains. DeJordy became a highly-regarded goaltender when he shared duties with HOFer Glenn Hall in Chicago throughout the 1960s where the bulk of his career took place. He would later have brief stops in L.A., Montreal and Detroit during his 316-game big league career.
