The Golden Jet soared once again in his final season with the Chicago Black Hawks as Bobby Hull hit the 50-goal mark for a record fifth time. This is the stick that Bobby used to score his final two goals of the 1971-72 season, his 49th and 50th goals, which would prove to be his last in a Hawks uniform. Needing two goals heading into the Sunday, April 2 game against the Red Wings, Hull didn't make the Chicago Stadium faithful wait very long; his 49th goal opened the scoring at 3:21 while number 50 came later in the first period at 17:09. Chico Maki and Keith Magnuson drew assists on the milestone goal that was scored on Red Wings rookie Andy Brown. Originally from the Bobby Hull collection, this Northland stick has "B. HULL" is stamped on the front of the shaft and Gunzo's stamped on each side. Red marker notation below Bobby's original tape job on the custom-shaved knob reads "49-50 1972". Vintage black "bulldog" tape that remains on the hooked blade has worn through along the bottom edge and there's a 2" crack at the toe. This historic 50-goal stick used to score Hull's last two regular season goals in a Hawks uniform comes with a Classic Auctions LOA. The upper part of Hull’s number “9” written in red marker on the shaft was written over by the 0 of the black marker “10” written below the knob.
