Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
Marcel Pronovost, d-man deluxe for the Detroit Red Wings throughout the 1950s until the mid-1960s and winner of four Stanley Cups with the great Motown teams of that era, would ultimately join the Toronto Maple Leafs and become part of the legendary Leafs Cup win in the spring of 1967. We've got Marcel's game-used CCM Custom stick from circa 1968 with the Leafs, featuring his original white tape on the blade and handle, with "Pronovost 3" stamped on the upper shaft and marks that make their way along. As a bonus, the stick has been signed on the shaft in green ballpoint pen by deceased HOFer King Clancy (ind. 1958, dec, 1986), and son Terry Clancy has also signed using blue ballpoint pen. Pronovost would be inducted into the HOF in 1978.
