Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
The Montreal Canadiens celebrated 100 seasons in 2009, and on March 14, 2009 the team donned replica jerseys in honor of the 1945-46 squad which had captured the Stanley Cup that season. We have Andrei Markov's game-worn jersey from that evening when the Habs clashed with the Devils at the Bell Centre, with the gamer tagged in the collar as a size "56" with a handwritten "2 just above. This Set 2 Markov jersey has the "1909-2009" Centennial patch on the right shoulder and shows light game wear aside from some faint marks on the right breast. A Canadiens hologram sticker is on the back number, and on the inside hem is a Canadiens registration patch with numbers that match the accompanying LOA signed by equipment manager Pierre Gervais. The jersey also comes in its original Canadiens box.
