A Stanley Cup champion with three different NHL teams, veteran defenseman Larry Hillman wore this photo-matched 1975-76 Winnipeg Jets gamer during the season Bobby Hull's squad of Swedish supermen won their first WHA title. Hillman spent his final three seasons in the rebel league, the first two with Cleveland before joining the Jets for his swan song, when he posted 13 points in 71 games. He went out on top, adding two assists in 12 playoff games as Winnipeg lost just once in three rounds to claim its first Avco Cup. Hillman's blue mesh game-worn jersey with a garter-style fight strap has Harv-Al Knit manufacturer's tagging in the neck along with a size L flag tag. The 1976 Olympic patch sewn on the right shoulder that was worn for part of the 1975-76 season by the Jets had not been added yet when Hillman wore this jersey for the photo that offers the match to the number 6 on the right sleeve. The varying amount of white material in the red and white double twill clearly matches the photo of Hillman, as well as the distinctive rounded lines in the red material of the number. Solid game wear includes a diagonal black mark on the front tail, board burns and marks on the back of the left sleeve and a black mark on the left hip. Comes with Larry Hillman's signed LOA. Remarkable chain-stitching is featured on the round blue and red team crest sewn on the front, with "Jets" in white thread, "Winnipeg" in red and the outline of a jet done in blue on a red twill circle. Hillman’s surname is screened onto a blue airknit nameplate.
