A six-time Stanley Cup winner with three different NHL teams, veteran defenseman Larry Hillman added this awesome bauble to his championship ring collection when the 1975-76 Winnipeg Jets capped the team's fourth WHA campaign with their first Avco World Trophy. Led by hockey legend Bobby Hull and Swedish superstar linemates Anders Hedberg and Ulf Nilsson, Winnipeg lost just once in 13 playoffs games, sweeping Gordie Howe's two-time reigning champion Houston Aeros in the finals to claim the first of their three WHA titles over the course of the rebel league's final four seasons. Hillman's 10-karat gold championship ring weighs about 25 grams and features "Winnipeg Jets" in raised gold on the inner bezel and "75 WHA 76 Champions" surrounding the outer bezel. "Jets" appears in gold lettering on the huge blue stone set in the tableau. "Hillman" and a Jets logo are displayed on the right shank, while the WHA logo appears on the left shank with "Avco Cup" above it. The size 11 ring with "Jostens 10K" stamped inside the band is beautifully preserved with light surface scratches from proud wear, mostly on the back of the band. This sensational WHA championship ring comes with Larry Hillman's signed LOA.
