Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014

Stick rack's worth of 10 of Larry Hillman's game-used sticks features a Gilbert Perreault Victoriaville stick that the veteran defenseman got from his HOF Sabres teammate and used during his stint with the Sabres in the early-1970s. "G. Perreault" is stamped on the shaft and "Hillman" is written below that in marker along with Larry's number 5 at the top, below his white tape job on the knob. Hillman's CCM Custom Pro gamer dates from his WHA days. Comes with Larry Hillman's signed LOA. Hillman recalls a pair of his black Sher-Wood SOP 9950 sticks as dating from the closing of Maple Leaf Gardens. He believes two other sticks are from the Jets’ trip to Japan and that the Wally wood stick with “Harris” written on the shaft and the Riga red stick were from the other team.
Also included is a Sher-Wood PMP 5000 , a pair of red Titan TPM 3020 gamers, and a Koho wood stick with a band of silver Koho tape that runs along the front of the shaft with number “2” written in black marker below it low on the stick.
Rounding out the lot are a Sabres Hillman #2 jersey, likely presented to Larry for an event, with vinyl numbers and surname lettering and a size L flag tag, as well as a May 1975 10x8 photo of Hillman and HOFer Gerry Cheevers pictured alongside Cheevers’ racehorse, Native Goal, displayed in its original matte frame.
