The 1954-55 Jack Adams Best Defenseman Trophy from the OHA Hamilton Tiger Cubs is featured in this lot of three awards from longtime NHL defenseman Larry Hillman's personal collection. A Stanley Cup winner with three different NHL teams, Hillman won his first in 1954-55 as a Detroit Red Wings rookie, at the end of the same campaign that saw him claim this 11 3/4" tall trophy. Hillman's 1969-70 award as the Philadelphia Flyers' outstanding defenseman and a 1951-52 Juvenile All-Star trophy are also featured along with a vintage Tiger Cubs game program. Comes with Larry Hillman's signed LOA. “Jack Adams Trophy Presented to Larry Hillman Best Defenseman 1954-55” is engraved on the plaque on the front of the wood base of the trophy which features a hockey player statue on top;
“Frankford Post #211 Awarded to Larry Hillman Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League Outstanding Defenseman 1969-1970” is engraved on the plaque that sits loosely slotted into the front of the wood base of the 18” tall trophy featuring a hockey player statue (that appears to be missing its original stick) on the top of a lidded raised bowl;
“Joe Dash Larry Hillman Juvenile All Star 1951-1952” is engraved on the gold-colored plaque that wraps around most of the round black base of the 10” tall trophy. It features a hockey player that appears to be missing its original stick.
