Rookie Larry Hillman received this 1954-55 Red Wings Stanley Cup championship tray and gravy boat. After claiming their record seventh straight regular season title, Detroit beat Montreal for the second year in a row in the 1955 final to win the Cup for the fourth time in six seasons. Historic silver-plated set features an engraved tray along with a gravy boat. "National Hockey League, League Champions and Stanley Cup Winners 1954 – 1955, Detroit Hockey Club. Inc., Larry Hillman" is inscribed across the tray, which displays scratches but remains in very nice condition overall. A fantastic Red Wings piece from the height of the 1950s Stanley Cup dynasty that conjures up wonderful championship memories of Howe, Lindsay, Sawchuk, et al! Comes with Larry Hillman's signed LOA. The tray measures 6” x 10” and the gravy boat is 8” at its longest and 4 1/4" at its widest. The back of the tray and bottom of the gravy boat each are inscribed “Heritage” along with “1847 Rogers Bros.” and “9413”. The and “I” “S” markings in boxes.
