Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014

To commemorate the 1966-67 Maple Leafs Stanley Cup win, defenseman Larry Hillman was presented with this engraved Birks Eterna-Matic watch as a gift from the City of Toronto following the team's victory parade along Yonge Street. "Presented by the City of Toronto to Larry Hillman, Maple Leaf Hockey Team, The Stanley Cup, World Hockey Champions, City Hall, May 5, 1967" is engraved on the watch's backplate along with Toronto mayor William Dennison's facsimile signature. The watch does not appear to be in working condition and the bracelet may have been changed and may be not original to the watch, though it is vintage. This fascinating original and personalized piece from the Maple Leafs' most recent Stanley Cup win comes with Larry Hillman's signed LOA.
