Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
Original art water color on board paintings of four early players whose careers were worthy of enshrinement into the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. Jack Gibson, who was inducted as a builder for organizing the world's first professional hockey league, is portrayed as well as Rusty Crawford and Tommy Smith, both members of the Quebec Bulldogs, and Jack Marshall, who remains the only player ever to win the Stanley Cup with four different teams. These gorgeous 12 x 18 inch paintings were produced in the early-80s by the late Carleton McDiarmid and used for the production of the 1983 Hockey Hall of Fame postcard set. In excellent condition and ready for framing. A colorful and attractive collection.
