Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
A fine six-item lot zooms into view here, including Canadian race car driver Patrick Carpentier's race-worn gloves to start the auction ignition. The blue and white gloves, made by Simpson, show nice blackened palms that comes when one grips a steering wheel more than usual. The "Simpson" tags are sewn on both gloves, while another tag stating the user assumes any risk is sewn on the right glove as well. Two unworn hats are next, one from Valvoline and the other from Forsythe Racing, and both are nicely signed in black marker by Carpentier. A third hat, from NAPA Racing, is unsigned but contains a Nascar hologram under the brim. Also included in this lot is a limited-edition Forsythe die-cast Patrick Carpentier model car and driver in its original box, along with a nice book of racing legends photographed by fashion, sports, and lifestyle photographer Micheal Voorhees. A terrific hodge-podge of racing memorabilia.
