Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
Delightful 14-pack lot of 1960s MLB pen and pencil sets in the shape of mini-baseball bats set on display cards, and featuring examples from the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Cubs, Cleveland Indians, Milwaukee Braves, Los Angeles Dodgers, Pittsburgh Pirates, Los Angeles Angels, New York Mets, and San Francisco Giants, plus the Montreal Expos from late-1960s. Also in this fun lot are four World Series packs, including the 1960 Yanks-Pirates Series, 2 from the 1961 Yanks-Reds affair, and another from the 1962 Yanks-Giants matchup. To note is the condition of display cards from one of the 1961 and another from the '62 World Series which has the tops of the display cut off. Aside from natural yellowing which has occurred on most, plus the odd crease on a few, these pen and pencil sets are in fine condition. To note are dates handwritten on each back with the exception of the Montreal Expos sample.
