From relief pitcher Bill Dawley comes his 1988 Philadelphia Phillies game-worn jersey and pants, with the jersey tagged in the collar as a "Rawlings size 48" with washing instructions, along with accompanying tags saying "2 inch extra length" and "Set 1, 1988". "Dawley" is also chain-stitched just under. Dawley's game-worn pants are tagged inside the waistband as "Rawlings 37" along with "43 37 30 88 1" and "Set 1, 1988". The jersey shows light game wear with some small marks on the left sleeve and some puckering on the left sleeve "Phillies" crest, while the pants has some marks on the back. A LOA signed by Dawley is included, along with a ticket stub for the charity auction and a plastic Phillies tag with "Dawley Blue Uniform" handwritten on the back. The game-worn jersey and pants were obtained from the Phillies Wives Charity Autograph and Auction Party held on July 27, 1989 at Veteran’s Stadium in Philadelphia. Dawley played seven seasons in the bigs, from ’83 to ’89, and appeared in 275 games overall. He was chosen for and played in the All-Star game in his 1983 rookie season.
