Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
1973 Yankees skipper Ralph Houk's signature appears just above the stamped team name on this souvenir ball by Wilson, while signing the sweet spot, one-above-the-other, were Mel Stottlemyre, Fritz Peterson and Bobby Murcer. Other notables taking pen to leather were Graig Nettles, Sparky Lyle, Lindy McDaniel, Gene Michael and Ron Blomberg, as well as Moses, Clarke, Hegan, Velez, Lanier, Sanchez and pitchers Dobson, Pagan, Granger, Beene and Buskey. Moderate fading to the signatures is to note but all are legible and decipherable. Yanks took fourth in the A.L. in '73, going 80-82, with Stottlemyre posting a team-high 16 wins.
