Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013

Centre David Whitworth began his career with the Penticton Panthers of the BCHL, then captained his Ivy League Dartmouth squad before turning pro in the ECHL, beginning with three games in Mobile before moving on to the Greensboro Generals. Offered is Whitworth's game-used jersey from his time with the Generals in the early-2000s, and a nice gamer it is. Tagged in the collar as an XXL, this white, blue and red jersey, with the blue on red tackle twill numbers, features great game marks on the front and both sleeves, with both sleeves showing numerous board burns and unrepaired holes. An unrepaired hole is also on the back of the jersey. To note is the nameplate, which appears to have been taken from another jersey and attached to Whitworth's #14 jersey, a number he used for all 4 seasons he was with the Generals. This B.C. native played for the Generals between 1999-00 and 2002-03, with stints in New Orleans and Trenton in 2000-01 after 5 games in Greensboro that season.
