Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
Taken second overall in the 1995 draft by the Islanders but then traded to Ottawa for the first overall pick (Bryan Berard), this Wade Redden game-worn jersey exhibits decent game use with marks on the front and a couple of good burns on each sleeve. With CCM and size 58 tags in the neck, it’s from Ottawa’s last year wearing this away black style, but without a NHL 2000 patch, it’s from the pre-season and possibly the ‘98-99 playoffs. The gamer features Wade’s alternate captain’s “A”, a role he would fill for nine seasons afterwards, and Redden has signed the big team crest in clear black marker. Jersey comes with a LOA. Redden would spend 11 seasons with the Sens before moving on to the New York Rangers, a couple of seasons in the AHL, and finally St. Louis and Boston.
