Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
The Columbus Blue Jackets' 2000-2001 inaugural season patch is sewn on the right breast of this game jersey worn by Chris Nielsen, most likely the best hockey player ever born in Moshi, Tanzania. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound centre wore this gamer with size 56 and CCM goalie-style fly tags in the neck while contributing nine points in 29 games with the first edition of the Blue Jackets. CCM airknit fly tag is sewn into the left inner seam and the jersey's fight strap is intact. Possible blood stains on the right cuff offer evidence of game use along with nice blue paint transfer on back of right shoulder and a puck mark in the bottom of the left "2" in the white-and-red twill #22 sewn on the right shoulder. Great slash mark through the right edge of the team crest sewn on the front. With team LOA.
