Acclaimed James Norris Trophy and Stanley Cup winner Rob Blake thumped and bumped while wearing this game-worn alternate captain's Third set 1 jersey during the 2003-04 campaign with the Colorado Avalanche, his second to last season with the Avs before returning to L.A. where he had begun his brilliant career. Tagged as a size 58 to accommodate Blake's 6'3", 222 lb frame, this Koho gamer shows marks on various parts of the front, and on both sleeves, as well as noticeable board burns on the right sleeve. A MeiGray "NHL Game-Worn Jersey 2003-2004 Season" registry patch is sewn on the hem and matches the LOA signed by representatives of the MeiGray Group and the NHL. Blake could do it all. He was an offensive threat from the blueline, and while defending, his bone-crunching talents persuaded many an oncoming forward to veer off and go in other directions. Blake would capture his one Stanley Cup as a member of the Colorado Avalanche, and lists an Olympic gold, two gold medals in World Championship play, and multiple All-Star appearances to his extremely impressive resume which includes more than 1200 NHL games racked up.
