Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013

It was the final season for the California Golden Seals before the team packed up and moved to the other side of the country to become the Cleveland Barons, and it was during this last hurrah in ’75-76 that goaltender Gary Simmons, who would don the pads for 40 games that year, packed and unpacked his equipment in this gold-colored canvas Seals equipment bag with the green “California Seals 31” screened on it. Several small holes are spread throughout the bottom of this canvas gamer, with marks and stains scattered throughout, while the carrying straps are still intact and the zipper at the top is still functional. A nice gamer from the legendary California Golden Seals, which was in operation from 1967 to 1976, was once owned by the legendary Charles O. Finley, and a team that once wore white skates.
