Finnish-born forward Ilkka Sinisalo, who played nine seasons in Philadelphia, the city where he began his 582-game, three-team NHL career, wore this gamer during the 1989-90 campaign, a year in which would be his final with the Flyers before hooking up with first the Minnesota North Stars and then the L.A. Kings before winding things down overseas. Tagged in the collar as a “Maska Air-Knit” jersey, the handwritten size on the tag is faded. A team repair is on the lower right sleeve, with a small unrepaired hole noticeable above the front hem. A small scattering of marks are on this gamer as well. The “CCM” logo is sewn on the back hem, while the team’s crest is black, orange and white tackle twill, the back number “23” is orange on black tackle twill, while the sleeve numbers are white on black tackle twill. Sinisalo’s best year in the NHL came with Philly during the ’85-’86 campaign when he notched a very respectable 39 goals and 37 assists. The ’89-’90 season, when he wore this jersey, saw him total 23 goals and 23 assists.
