International hockey superstar Sergei Makarov helped lead the initial wave of Russian players to the NHL. Makarov won the Calder Trophy in 1989-90, his first season in Calgary, and he averaged close to a point a game in his four years with the Flames. Makarov's 1990-91 Flames game-worn jersey has a Maska flag tag in the back of the neck and CCM and NHL logos embroidered on the right rear tail. It displays solid game wear with black marks throughout, board burns on the sleeves, red paint transfer on the left sleeve, blue paint transfer on the right sleeve and a thread pull in the middle red band on the front tail.
