Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
Great game wear on Dave Hunter's 1987-88 Penguins game-worn jersey includes loads of unrepaired burn holes on both sleeves. A three-time Stanley Cup champion with Wayne Gretzky's Oilers, Hunter was dealt to the Penguins in the Paul Coffey trade on November 24, 1987 and had 11 goals and 29 points in 59 games in his only season in Pittsburgh. CCM logo is embroidered on the right rear hem and Maska Airknit flag tag in the neck was sewn over by stitching on the long nameplate on the back. Penguins crest, numbers and surname letters are all heat-pressed vinyl that has stood up nicely over the years. More game wear shows in black marks on the front tail and sleeves with a bit of red and blue paint transfer on the right sleeve.
