Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
Marvelous mitts worn by Super Mario back in the late-1980s are a treat! The Koho 800 model gloves are all-nylon with supple leather palms and each gauntlet reveals a larger faded marker number "66" inside the cuff. Nice use throughout with heavy wear and stick markings on the outside and matching wear inside although they appear to have been the original palms. The palm of the left glove is starting to wear through while the opposite glove shows extensive use with a large pal hole and holes at the inner fingers. Lemieux favored this pair, to be sure! Both gloves are signed in blue Sharpie on the white leather padding and a PSA/DNA label attests to the authenticity of the autographs. In compliance with NHL advertising guidelines, the large Koho logo on each glove has been blackened out. We will provide photo evidence of the style, a shot of Lemieux wearing similar gloves with the cuffs blackened out in this fashion.
