HOF center Dave Keon wore this New England Whalers gamer in his first season in Hartford after he was acquired from Minnesota via Edmonton midway through the 1976-77 WHA campaign. The 1960-61 Calder Trophy winner, Keon claimed the 1967 Conn Smythe after winning his fourth Stanley Cup with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He recorded a career-high 90 points with Minnesota and New England in 1976-77, including 39 in 34 games with the Whalers. Keon took over his familiar number 14 from Doug Roberts. The name change is clear to see in the outlines of "D. Roberts" on the back with "Keon" spelled out in double twill letters sewn directly onto the jersey. Gerry Cosby and size 48 tagging is sewn in the back of the neck and the fight strap is cut. Game wear features big black marks on the left front and tail and marks on the sleeves. Comes with a copy of the original MeiGray LOA and certificate of registration. There is an unrepaired hole on the right rear tail.
