Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
None other than big-league goaltender Roberto Luongo wore this game-used blocker while tending nets for his junior squad, Val D'Or Foreurs, during the 1997-98 season, a year the Foreurs would capture the President's Cup, awarded annually by the Quebec Major Jumior Hockey League to the league's playoff champs. This black, white, and green Louisville gamer features Luongo's name embroidered on the side, and shows game wear with marks mainly noticeable in the white front area of the blocker. Luongo recorded an outstanding seven shutouts in the 54 games he suited up for that season. A nice junior game-worn piece from an all-star big leaguer.
