Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
We’ve heard that most goalies aren’t crazy about practices, there’s way too many pucks flying around, but they still have to go out and do it, even Detroit’s Jimmy Howard. Offered is Howard’s 2005-08 Wings’ practice-worn jersey, tagged in the collar as “Goalie Style”, with plenty of marks scattered throughout the front and sleeves as proof that he was on the receiving end of shooting drills. A touch of red paint transfer is on the back as well. On the inside hem is a screened “2005-2008 Authentic Training Camp Jersey” and on both the front and back of the hem is the screened number “39422” which curiously doesn’t match the one on the included LOA’s hologram. Also in the collar is the still-attached “Hockeytown Authentics’ price tag. This practice-worn Jimmy Howard jersey also has three extra players’ nameplates which were supposed to have been used on this jersey as well but we see no evidence of former nameplates ever being attached. A 2” x 12” Jimmy Howard nameplate is included.
