Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
Tall and lanky backup goaltender Cal Heeter owned this white Team U.S.A. jersey during the 2013 World Championships held in Helsinki and Stockholm where the American squad would skate away with a bronze medal. Tagged in the collar as a size 58 goalie-cut, this game-issued jersey has an “IIHF” patch sewn in the collar and has a few marks noticeable on the front of the jersey. A “USA Hockey” and “MeiGray” registry patch is sewn into the inside hem, with a Nike bar code sticker alongside. Stamped in blue on the fight strap is “Game-Issued, Not Worn”. A nice game-issued jersey from a member of the U.S. Squad, and comes with an LOA signed by representatives of the MeiGray Group and USA Hockey. Cal Heeter didn't dress for any games during the tournament, and played in 32 games that season for the Adirondack Phantoms of the AHL.
