Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
It was a gold medal for Canada in the 2004 World Cup of Hockey, and B.C born defenceman Scott Hannan, a member of the Team Canada squad, donned this gorgeous vintage-style Team Canada jersey in one or even both of the August 23rd and August 28th pre-tournament games in which this black, red, and white type of jersey was worn. Two tags are sewn in the collar, one, a "Nike 56" and the other an "IIHF Authentic Collection" logo tag. The "Nike" logo is sewn on the right breast of the garment which has a laced tie-neck, and there is an "IIHF" patch sewn on the hem along with a screened Nike bar code on the hem as well. The jersey has white tackle twill numbers on sleeves and back and has white tackle twill letters glued to a sewn-on nameplate. Hannan has signed his name on the back number in black marker. Only light wear is evident, with some markings on the sleeves and a mark on the front heritage Team Canada maple leaf crest. A gorgeous game-worn jersey from a fine player in an important international tourney.
