Lanny McDonald's 1979 Challenge Cup game-issued stick is team-signed by 28 members of the NHL All-Stars, including superstars Lafleur, Clarke, Potvin, Trottier, Bossy, Perreault, Robinson, Dryden and Sittler. Bobby Orr, who was a TV commentator for the three-game series against the Soviets, signed along with the complete NHL All-Stars roster. A total of 21 HOFers signed in bold blue marker, including Lapointe, Barber, McDonald, Gillies, Savard, Shutt, Gainey, Salming, Cheevers and Tony Esposito, one of three NHL All-Stars who signed but did not play. Game-issued Koho is stamped "McDonald" on the shaft. Comes with Lanny McDonald's signed LOA. The stick is also signed by Beck, Nilsson, Hedberg and Marcotte, as well as two members of the NHL All-Stars who did not play in the series, Greschner and Picard. The number “8” Lanny wore during the Challenge Cup series is crossed out with his Maple Leafs number “7” written in marker further down the shaft.
