Rarely-seen collection of Russian pinbacks featuring 17 Soviet Union players who suited up and won the gold medal at the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, Austria. These terrific pinbacks, which measure just over two inches in diameter, feature many names familiar to fans of the 1972 Summit Series and who were still going strong in Innsbruck, including Vladislav Tretiak, Aleksandr Maltsev, Boris Mikhailov, Alexander Yakushev, Vladimir Petrov, Vladimir Shadrin, Valeri Vasiliev, Yuri Liapkin, Vladimir Lutchenko, Gennady Tsygankov, Aleksandr Gusev, Alexander Sidelnikov, and the dazzling Valeri Kharlamov. And aside from the remaining four players in this pinback collection - Viktor Shalimov, Boris Aleksandrov, Sergey Kapustin, and Victor Zhluktov, only Sergei Babinov is missing from this '76 Gold Medal team. The pins are in wonderful condition, with some having bluer backgrounds than others. Kapustin, Shalimov, Shadrin, and a few others have more of a grey background than blue, with Kapustin's pin showing some slight scuffing around the edges. The backs of most of these pins also show some slight marks. All in all, a terrific group of Russian pinbacks from players who really knew how to play the game.
