Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
Russian superstar Valeri Kamensky has signed his photo-matched CCCP 1988 Olympics game-worn jersey. Valeri scored four goals and two assists in eight games as the Soviet Union claimed its second straight Olympic gold. Kamensky has signed in black marker along the top of the white felt 3 of the heat-screened number "13" on the back of his light mesh Tackla gamer which is photo-matched by the two red marks in the white stripes on the right sleve. Tackla and size XL flag tags remain in the back of the neck and a nameplate was removed from the back. The CCCP and white lines on the front are heat-screened white vinyl that has vertical cracks throughout. Great game wear includes black marks and red and blue paint transfer on the sleeves and tails and unrepaired cut/burn holes. There are marks on the number 1 on the right sleeve that show in another photo of Kamensky though they are not clear enough to call a match.
