Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
Classic four-page program published for the four games of the 1972 Canada-Russia Series played in Moscow is unlike any others we've handled. A big, bold black marker autograph penned by goalie Vladislav Tretiak sprawls across the top, with a Maurice Richard ballpoint signature showing up nicely below it. Series' hero Paul Henderson's autograph has somewhat faded with time, especially the "P", while Soviets to sign include Vladimir Lutchenko (#3), Alexander Gusev (#2) and, at the bottom, the late Valery Vasiliev. With a fold down the middle and light creasing to mention, this one-of-one will enhance a Summit Series shrine.
