Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
The only cards ever to picture Hall-of-Famer Duke Keats during his playing days were issued with a Paulin’s Hockey Bar, the Winnipeg-based Paulin’s offering a new hockey stick to anyone who sent the company a complete set of 70 cards, with the promotion running during the 1924-25 and ’25-26 seasons. Keats was still starring for the Edmonton Eskimos of the WCHL, a league he led with 31 goals, 24 assists and 55 points in just 25 games in ’21-22. The center would later see action with the NHL Bruins, Cougars and Black Hawks. Even with the paper loss rendering it PSA PR 1, card #45 here, (with redemption stamp on the reverse), will be a coveted acquisition.
