Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013

Attractive lower grade C57 card here pictures Hall of Fame defenceman Joe Hall at a time when he was contributing to back-to-back Stanley Cup championships with the Quebec Bulldogs. The Joe Malone-led Bulldogs captured Lord Stanley’s trophy in the spring of 1912 and defended their title the same season as this treasure was issued by Imperial Tobacco. With rounded corners, edge chipping and a small crease in the upper right corner region, card #16 is "G" in our eyes, or G-VG at best, but is free of any real unsightly creases or other drastic flaws. “Bad Joe” spent seven seasons with Quebec before joining the Montreal Canadiens for the NHL’s inaugural 1917-18 season.
