Georges Vezina had begun forging his professional hockey legend the season prior to his rookie cards being issued by Imperial Tobacco in 1911-12, his second year with "Les Canadiens." The goaltender's incredible run of 367 consecutive regular season and playoff games and his stellar play for Montreal earned him Hall of Fame recognition, although posthumously as he died of tuberculosis weeks after collapsing during the Habs' season opener in '25-26. This example of card #38 has been examined, encapsulated and deemed in VG-EX 4 condition by the experts at PSA. Vezina's legacy as one of the game's early heroes will forever live on and you'll forever be patting yourself on the back for having scored this prerequisite to a serious tobacco card portfolio and one of the hobby's most coveted treasures.
